  • 2.75 cups All-purpose flour (for structure)
  • 2 teaspoon Cornstarch (for tenderness)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder (helps cookies rise)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda (provides lift)
  • ¾ teaspoon Salt (enhances sweetness)
  • 4 oz Semisweet chocolate bar (finely chopped)
  • Sea salt (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, Nutella, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, blending until well incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  6. Fold in the finely chopped semisweet chocolate.
  7. Drop dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  8. Sprinkle each dough ball with a pinch of sea salt.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set and centers remain soft.
  10. Cool cookies on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.
