Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and baking powder.
  3. Cut in the cold unsalted butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Whisk together the egg, whole milk, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
