This Tender and Juicy London Broil recipe features a flavorful marinade that infuses the steak with a perfect balance of tangy lemon juice, savory soy sauce, and aromatic Italian seasoning.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds London broil round steak (12 inches thick)
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • ⅓ cup lemon juice
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large gallon-sized bag, combine soy sauce, lemon juice, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, pepper, and salt. Seal the bag and mix thoroughly.
  2. Add the London broil round steak to the marinade bag. Seal securely, removing air. Refrigerate and marinate for a minimum of 3 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat your oven broiler to HIGH heat about 10 minutes before cooking.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade, letting excess drip off, and place it on a baking dish. Discard the used marinade.
  5. Position the steak under the broiler and cook for 5-6 minutes on the first side. Flip and broil for an additional 3-4 minutes, checking for an internal temperature of 135°F.
  6. Remove from the oven and let the steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain and serving.

Notes

  • For best results, marinate overnight.
  • Use a meat thermometer for accuracy.
  • Slice against the grain for maximum tenderness.
