Ingredients
Scale
1 lb 5 oz package sugar cookie mix, plus required ingredients for baking
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup vanilla frosting
14 ounces almond bark or white chocolate chips
Sprinkles (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
Preheat oven and bake sugar cookies according to the package directions. Allow them to cool completely before the next step.
Place the cooled sugar cookies into a food processor and pulse until they are ground into fine crumbs.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cookie crumbs with softened cream cheese and vanilla frosting. Mix thoroughly until it forms a smooth mixture.
Roll the mixture into 1-inch diameter balls. Arrange them on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet and freeze for 15 minutes.
Microwave the almond bark or white chocolate chips for 45 seconds, then stir. Continue heating in 15-second intervals until fully melted.
Using a fork, dip each chilled cookie ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl.
Immediately top each dipped truffle with sprinkles if desired. Place them back onto the parchment paper and chill until the chocolate sets.
Keep the truffles refrigerated until ready to serve.
Notes
These truffles are great for holiday parties or festive occasions.
They can be stored in the refrigerator for freshness.
