A delightful and incredibly simple dessert, this Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake masterfully blends the creamy tang of cheesecake with the vibrant sweetness of strawberry pie filling, all topped with a buttery, golden cake crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box strawberry cake mix
  • 1 (21 ounce) can strawberry pie filling
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish if desired.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat 8 ounces of softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy. Add 1/2 cup powdered sugar and continue beating until well combined and creamy.
  3. Pour the entire 1 (21 ounce) can of strawberry pie filling into the bottom of the prepared 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  4. Carefully spoon dollops of the prepared cream cheese mixture over the strawberry pie filling, then gently spread to form a fairly even layer.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the dry strawberry cake mix over the cream cheese layer. Do not stir into the layers below.
  6. Slowly and evenly drizzle 1/2 cup melted butter over the entire surface of the dry cake mix, aiming for good coverage.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 50 to 60 minutes, or until the topping is gloriously golden brown and bubbly around the edges. If the top browns too quickly, loosely tent with aluminum foil for the last 10-15 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack for at least 15-20 minutes before serving. Serve warm. This dessert is fantastic on its own or garnished with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream.
  9. Store any leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. It can be enjoyed cold or gently reheated in the microwave for individual portions.

Notes

  • Great for any occasion with minimal effort.
  • Can be served warm or cold.
  • Pairs well with whipped cream or ice cream.
