Ingredients

Scale
  • 1416 lbs Turkey (Ensure it’s fully thawed before roasting for even cooking.)
  • 1 tbsp Salt (Use kosher or sea salt for better seasoning distribution.)
  • 1 tbsp Pepper (Freshly ground black pepper adds mild heat.)
  • to taste Fresh Herbs (Thyme/Rosemary) (Optional aromatics; substitute with dried herbs if needed.)
  • 1 whole Onion (Use as an aromatic base inside the cavity.)
  • to taste Citrus Slices (Lemon/Orange) (Add these inside the cavity for added fragrance.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Ensure your turkey is fully thawed and remove any giblets from the cavity.
  3. Rub salt and pepper all over the turkey, covering the skin and getting some under it too.
  4. Place halved onion and any fresh herbs or citrus slices into the turkey cavity.
  5. Position the turkey breast-side up in a roasting pan and roast for 2-3 hours until the internal temperature reads 165°F.
  6. Let your turkey rest for 30 minutes before carving to allow juices to redistribute.
