- 1 pound Thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin)
- 1 head Napa cabbage
- 8 ounces Shiitake mushrooms
- 2 medium Carrots
- 4 stalks Green onions
- 14 ounces Cubed tofu
- 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
- 1 cup Optional dipping sauces (ponzu, sesame sauce)
- In a large pot, bring the dashi broth or water to a vigorous boil over medium-high heat.
- Gently add the thinly sliced beef into the boiling broth. Cook for about 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the chopped napa cabbage, sliced shiitake mushrooms, and julienned carrots. Simmer for another 3-4 minutes.
- Add the cubed tofu to the pot and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Drizzle in the soy sauce and sesame oil, gently stirring to incorporate the flavors.
- Sprinkle the chopped green onions over the hot pot and serve.
