Ricotta Beef Stuffed Shells: An Amazing Ultimate Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat. Add minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper, stirring until fragrant.
  4. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and the egg. Mix well until smooth.
  5. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the cheese mixture into each cooked pasta shell, then place them in a greased baking dish.
  6. Pour half of the marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, ensuring they are well coated.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top of the shells.
  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Once out of the oven, let the dish cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
