Delight in these quick and easy homemade Maple Bar Donuts made using refrigerated biscuits and an air fryer. These soft, golden donuts are topped with a luscious maple glaze, perfect for a sweet breakfast treat or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package Grand’s refrigerated biscuits
  • Oil spray, for spritzing
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk (plus more as needed)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon maple extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature before cooking the donuts.
  2. Open the package of refrigerated biscuits and gently press each biscuit out into a rectangular shape to resemble the classic maple bar shape.
  3. Place the biscuits in the air fryer basket in a single even layer, leaving space between each one. Lightly spritz each biscuit with oil spray to help them crisp up beautifully.
  4. Cook the biscuits in the preheated air fryer for about 5 minutes or until they are puffed up and golden brown.
  5. While the donuts air fry, combine the powdered sugar, milk, maple syrup, maple extract, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Whisk thoroughly and add additional milk, one tablespoon at a time, to achieve a thick but pourable glaze consistency.
  6. Remove the cooked donuts from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly until they are easy to handle. Dip the tops of the warm donuts into the maple glaze, allowing excess glaze to drip off.
  7. Place the glazed donuts on a wire rack or plate and let them set for about 5 minutes so the glaze firms up before serving.
