Easy Homemade Kashmiri Pink Chai is a creamy, aromatic traditional tea known for its beautiful blush color and gently savory-sweet flavor. This comforting drink is perfect for slow moments, special occasions, or cozy evenings at home.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Kashmiri green tea leaves
  • 4 cups cold water
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • Salt, to taste
  • Sugar, to taste
  • 2 green cardamom pods, lightly crushed
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • Crushed pistachios
  • Crushed almonds

Instructions

  1. Add Kashmiri green tea leaves, cold water, and baking soda to a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil, then simmer 20–30 minutes until liquid reduces and turns deep red.
  3. Aerate the tea by scooping and pouring it back into the pot several times.
  4. Add cardamom, cinnamon stick, and cloves.
  5. Slowly pour in cold milk and stir gently as the tea turns pink.
  6. Season with salt and sugar to taste.
  7. Simmer gently for 5–7 minutes.
  8. Strain into cups, garnish with crushed nuts, and serve hot.
