  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • Optional: toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Optional: splash of lime juice or orange zest

Instructions

  1. Mix soy sauce, black vinegar, sesame oil, and garlic in a bowl. Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
  2. Combine chili oil, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar. Stir well and adjust heat to taste.
  3. Place garlic and sugar in a bowl, pour hot water over to soften, then add remaining ingredients and mix.
  4. Stir all ingredients together until smooth. Adjust sweetness as desired.
