Dubai Cheesecake Bars: An Amazing Ultimate Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • A pinch of saffron threads (optional)
  • ½ cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove and let it cool slightly.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Make sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract, ground cardamom, and saffron threads (if using). Mix until fully combined.
  7. Gently fold in the sour cream until the mixture is smooth.
  8. Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust, spreading it evenly.
  9. Place the pan back in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool at room temperature for about an hour. Then, refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for the best texture.
  11. Once fully chilled, cut into bars and serve.
