  • 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients on box)
  • 2 boxes (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 containers (8 oz each) whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1/2 cup chocolate shavings or chunks for topping

Instructions

  1. Bake the brownie mix in a 9×13-inch pan according to package directions. Let cool completely.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together chocolate pudding mix and cold milk. Let it thicken for 5 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and mix well. Fold in one container of whipped topping.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled brownies evenly.
  5. Layer the chocolate pudding over the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Spread the remaining whipped topping on top.
  7. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings or chunks.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight before serving.
