Ingredients
Scale
1 onion, sliced
1 (1 ounce) packet au jus seasoning
3 pounds chuck roast, cut into 1 to 1 1/2-inch cubes
1 tablespoon steak seasoning
1/4 cup butter
8 cloves garlic, minced, or more to taste
3/4 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
Place the sliced onions in the bottom of the slow cooker and sprinkle evenly with the au jus seasoning packet to build a flavorful foundation.
Toss the chuck roast cubes with steak seasoning to ensure each bite is well seasoned.
Arrange the seasoned beef cubes on top of the seasoned onions in the slow cooker.
Top the beef with the butter and minced garlic, spreading them evenly to infuse the meat with rich, garlicky flavor.
Pour the beef broth around the edges of the slow cooker to add moisture and create a savory cooking liquid.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on the Low setting for about 6 hours, or until the beef is tender and juicy.
Just before serving, stir in the chopped fresh parsley to add a pop of color and fresh flavor.
