Creamy White Chocolate Orange Mousse That Dreams Are Made Of

  • 4 piece egg whites
  • 30 fl oz orange liqueur or orange juice
  • 3 tbsp hot water
  • 1.5 tsp gelatin powder
  • 180 g white chocolate
  • 1 piece orange rind
  • 200 fl oz crème anglaise

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, use a mixer to beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  2. In a separate bowl, dissolve the gelatin powder in the hot water, stirring gently.
  3. Melt the white chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave until smooth, then let it cool slightly.
  4. Slowly pour the orange liqueur (or juice) into the melted chocolate and mix well.
  5. Stir in the gelatin mixture into the chocolate, ensuring even distribution.
  6. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the chocolate mixture with a spatula.
  7. Sprinkle in the grated orange rind and mix softly.
  8. Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and serve with chilled crème anglaise.
