Creamy French Onion Broccoli Cheese Casserole is a cheesy, veggie-packed side dish perfect for any meal.

  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups French-fried onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. If using fresh broccoli, blanch in boiling water for 2–3 minutes, then cool in ice water. Drain well.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Stir the broccoli into the creamy mixture until well-coated.
  5. Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish evenly.
  6. Top with the French-fried onions.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until bubbling and golden on top.
  8. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
