Instructions

  1. Thaw the puff pastry by following the package instructions.
  2. Brush the melted butter generously over the thawed pastry sheet.
  3. Mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a bowl.
  4. Sprinkle the sugar-cinnamon mixture evenly over the buttered pastry.
  5. Cut the pastry into your desired shapes—triangles, strips, or rectangles.
  6. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  7. Fry the pastry pieces until golden brown on both sides, usually about 2-3 minutes per side.
  8. Remove the cruffins from the oil and allow them to drain on paper towels.
