Cherry Cordial Hearts are elegant, bite-sized homemade candies made with a rich chocolate shell, creamy fondant filling, and a bright cherry center. Alcohol-free and no-bake, they’re perfect for Valentine’s Day, holidays, or gifting to someone special.

Ingredients

  • 1824 maraschino cherries, stems removed
  • Paper towels, for drying cherries
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • 12 tablespoons cherry juice (from the jar)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 10 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother coating)

Instructions

  1. Drain cherries and pat completely dry. Set aside.
  2. Mix powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, and cherry juice until thick and smooth.
  3. Flatten fondant, wrap around each cherry, and seal completely.
  4. Refrigerate wrapped cherries for 20–30 minutes to firm.
  5. Melt chocolate with coconut oil until smooth.
  6. Spoon chocolate into heart mold, add cherry, and cover with more chocolate.
  7. Refrigerate 30–45 minutes until firm.
  8. Remove from mold and rest 10 minutes before serving.
