Cheesy Jalapeño Ranch Chicken Poppers: An Amazing Ultimate Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground chicken until it’s no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, diced jalapeños, and ranch seasoning. Mix until well incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg. Set aside.
  5. Using your hands, take a small amount of the chicken mixture and shape it into a ball or a small patty. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
  6. Dip each popper into the egg wash, then roll it in the breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  7. Place the coated poppers on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
  8. Lightly drizzle olive oil over the poppers to enhance browning.
  9. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  10. Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust jalapeño quantity based on your spice preference.
  • These poppers can be made ahead and frozen for later use.
  • Serve with ranch dressing for dipping.
