This Simple Campbell’s Green Bean Casserole is a classic side dish featuring tender green beans in a creamy mushroom sauce and topped with crispy fried onions.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cups cooked cut green beans
  • 1 1/3 cups French fried onions
  • 1/2 cup sautéed mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Dash garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Gently stir in green beans and 2/3 cup of the fried onions.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a 1½ to 2-quart baking dish and smooth the top.
  5. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and top with remaining fried onions.
  7. Return to oven and bake 5 more minutes, until topping is golden brown.
  8. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
