- 0.5 cups light brown sugar (packed)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cups sliced apples (your favorite variety)
- 1.25 cups all-purpose flour (sifted)
- 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 cups butter (room temperature)
- 1 cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 0.5 cups whole milk
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt ¼ cup of butter in an 8-inch cake pan by placing it in the preheating oven.
- Whisk together 1 ¼ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder, and ¼ teaspoon of salt in a medium bowl.
- Cream ½ cup of room-temperature butter and 1 cup of granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl.
- Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 2 large eggs to the butter and sugar mixture; beat well.
- Mix in ½ cup of whole milk just until combined.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, beating just until blended.
