Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic and onion seasoning
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 3/4 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing mix
  • 8 ounces portobello mushroom caps, cleaned
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In one bowl, combine flour and garlic & onion seasoning. In a second bowl, pour milk. In a third bowl, mix panko bread crumbs with dry ranch dressing mix.
  2. Dip each mushroom cap first in the flour mixture, then in the milk, and finally coat thoroughly with the panko bread crumb mixture. Ensure a full, even coating.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray.
  4. Arrange the breaded mushrooms in a single layer in the preheated air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd. Lightly spray the tops of the mushrooms with cooking spray. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. Cook in batches if necessary.
  5. Remove from air fryer and serve immediately, optionally with additional ranch dressing for dipping.
