Sweet and Spicy Whipped Feta Crostini with Hot Honey delivers a perfect balance of creamy, tangy, sweet, and spicy.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz (225g) feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup (60g) Greek yogurt or softened cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) honey
  • 1/21 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds (about 20 slices)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional: garlic clove for rubbing toast
  • Fresh thyme or basil
  • Crushed pistachios or walnuts
  • Lemon zest
  • Pomegranate arils

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush baguette slices with olive oil and bake 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway. Optional: rub with garlic clove.
  2. In a food processor, blend feta, yogurt (or cream cheese), olive oil, and lemon juice until smooth and fluffy. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Warm honey and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan over low heat for 3–4 minutes. Do not boil. Let sit 10 minutes to infuse.
  4. Spread whipped feta onto toasted baguette slices.
  5. Drizzle each crostini with hot honey. Add fresh herbs, nuts, lemon zest, or pomegranate arils if desired.
  6. Serve immediately while crostini are crisp and feta is cool.

  • Adjust red pepper flakes to control spice level.
