  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Place 7 cups Rice Chex cereal in a very large mixing bowl.
  2. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon salted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until completely smooth and melted (about 1-2 minutes total).
  3. Pour the warm melted chocolate mixture evenly over the cereal. Gently fold with a large spatula until all cereal pieces are thoroughly coated.
  4. Divide the coated cereal evenly into two large resealable plastic bags. Divide 2 cups powdered sugar evenly between the bags. Seal bags securely, trapping air inside.
  5. Gently shake the bags for 2-3 minutes until every cereal piece is thoroughly coated with powdered sugar and has a ‘snow-dusted’ look.
  6. Pour the puppy chow onto a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread into a single layer. While warm, sprinkle with 1 cup roughly chopped Andes Mints, chopped mint-flavored cookies, and green M&Ms for garnish.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate coating to fully set. Break apart any larger clumps before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container for freshness.
