  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups pecan halves (toasted if desired)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add softened butter and mix until crumbly.
  3. Press crust mixture into pan evenly and bake for 18–20 minutes, until lightly golden.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, brown sugar, maple syrup, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  5. Stir in pecan halves until well coated.
  6. Pour pecan mixture over hot crust and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for another 30–35 minutes until filling is set.
  8. Cool completely in the pan. Chill in fridge for easier slicing.
  9. Slice into bars and serve.
