  • 1 1/2 teaspoons peppermint extract
  • 5 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 cups dark or semi-sweet chocolate (chopped or chips)
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil or shortening
  • Optional: holiday sprinkles for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix sweetened condensed milk and peppermint extract.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar until a thick, pliable dough forms.
  3. Scoop 1-tablespoon portions, roll into balls, then flatten into discs.
  4. Place discs on parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.
  5. Melt chocolate with coconut oil in microwave until smooth.
  6. Dip each chilled patty in chocolate, tapping off excess.
  7. Place back on parchment and top with sprinkles if using.
  8. Let them set at room temperature or refrigerate until firm.
  9. Store in airtight container depending on storage preference.
