Cheesy Christmas Tree Bread is a festive holiday appetizer featuring soft, golden pull-apart rolls stuffed with gooey melted cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough or crescent dough sheet
  • 2430 small cubes of mozzarella cheese (or shredded cheese rolled into balls)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Crushed red pepper flakes
  • Extra herbs for garnish
  • Marinara sauce or ranch dressing (optional for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll pizza dough and cut into 24–30 squares. Place a cube of cheese in each square and pinch edges to seal, forming dough balls.
  3. Arrange dough balls seam-side down on baking sheet in the shape of a Christmas tree, ending with a small trunk made of 2 balls.
  4. Beat the egg lightly and brush over dough balls for a golden finish.
  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  6. While bread bakes, mix melted butter with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and parsley.
  7. Brush warm bread generously with garlic butter. Add Parmesan, red pepper flakes, or parsley as desired.
  8. Enjoy warm with marinara or ranch dip.
